Answer Rates Rose 29% After LeadSimple Phone Adoption

Across an anonymized, multi-account sample, the recorded inbound answer rate rose from 37.8% before Phone adoption to 48.6% after. Early AI-routed lines reached a 94.8% answer rate.

LeadSimple Phone routing an incoming property management call

Prospects, residents, vendors, and owners call when they need an answer now. If nobody picks up, that urgency does not disappear. It becomes a voicemail, a callback, a second attempt—or a conversation that never happens.

That makes answer rate one of the clearest operating signals in property management. It measures whether a team creates the opportunity for a live conversation in the first place.

So we reviewed an anonymized, multi-account sample of inbound calls from customers before and after they adopted LeadSimple Phone. After Phone adoption, the recorded inbound answer rate was 29% higher.

Recorded answer rate rose from 37.8% to 48.6%

Before adoption, customers answered 37.8% of comparable inbound calls.

After adoption, the recorded answer rate was 48.6%.

This is an observed before-and-after result, not proof that software alone caused the change. Staffing, seasonality, routing choices, and how consistently a team adopts a new system all matter. Still, every sensitivity check pointed in the same direction.

What 109 more answers per 1,000 means

At the rates observed in this analysis, every 1,000 comparable inbound calls corresponds to about 109 more calls answered after Phone adoption. For a team handling 5,000 inbound calls, the same difference translates to about 543 additional answered calls.

An answered call does not guarantee a signed lease, a retained owner, or a resolved maintenance issue.

But it creates the chance to understand the need, set expectations, and move the work forward in real time. A missed call creates follow-up work—and leaves the caller deciding whether to wait.

Why bringing calls into the same system as the work helps

The analysis does not isolate one feature as the reason for the change. But LeadSimple Phone gives teams several practical advantages for coverage:

  • Route calls across the team. Inbound numbers can ring the people responsible for answering instead of depending on one desk, device, or person.
  • Keep the conversation in context. Calls, texts, and emails live alongside the customer and the property-management work they relate to.
  • Make the miss visible. When nobody picks up, the history and follow-up stay visible to the team instead of disappearing into a personal phone or disconnected inbox.
  • Add AI coverage. Teams can route a line directly to AI Agent or let it step in when a human ring group does not answer.

Shared routing and context give the team a better chance to answer together. AI Agent changes what happens when no one can pick up.

AI-routed lines reached a 94.8% answer rate

In a small early-adopter sample since July 2026, AI-routed lines recorded a 94.8% answer rate on inbound calls with a recorded outcome.

At those same accounts, human-routed lines recorded a 57.2% answer rate.

That is an 88% lower recorded miss rate on AI-routed lines. In a separate August validation sample, those lines answered 99.5% of inbound calls with a recorded outcome.

We also reviewed a recent multi-account sample of calls that moved from an unanswered human ring group to AI Agent. Every fallback we could verify end to end connected to AI Agent.

These are promising early signals, not a universal benchmark. Line configurations can change, and the fallback review includes only calls we could verify end to end. It is a narrow validation sample, not a measure of every attempted call. A recorded pickup shows connection, not whether AI fully resolved the caller's need.

Together, the results point to a practical coverage model: Phone gives the human team shared infrastructure for answering together, and AI Agent gives nearly every recorded call somewhere to go when the team is unavailable.

How we measured it

For the Phone comparison, we treated each customer's first use of LeadSimple Phone as the adoption point, excluded internal activity, and reviewed an anonymized, multi-account sample through August 27, 2026.

To keep the before-and-after comparison consistent, we included only inbound calls clearly recorded as answered, missed, or sent to voicemail. Calls without a comparable outcome were excluded. The before and after groups differ in customer mix and call volume. The results combine call volume across customers rather than comparing equal windows account by account.

That distinction matters, so we tested three additional definitions. Among customers with calls before and after adoption, the full available history showed a 7.5-point increase when every inbound call was included. In equal 90-day windows, the lift was 2.7 points across all inbound calls and 6.1 points across calls with comparable recorded outcomes.

The size of the lift changes with the time window and which calls are included. But the direction did not: all four comparisons showed a higher recorded answer rate after Phone adoption.

This is observational data. It does not control for staffing, seasonality, customer mix, or other operational changes, and repeat calls may appear more than once. It shows what happened after adoption—not what Phone alone caused.

The first LeadSimple Signal

This is the first installment of LeadSimple Signals, a series built from anonymized product data. We'll use it to share useful operating benchmarks, show where property-management work breaks down, and examine what changes when that work runs through LeadSimple.

The first signal is clear: across the reviewed sample, recorded answer rates rose after Phone adoption. On early AI-routed lines, the answer rate reached 94.8%—close to always answered.
