Ever wondered how to manage fewer doors with more stress?

I'd be surprised if you had.

Yet you are likely doing many things in your property management company that result in you doing exactly that: managing far fewer doors than you could with much more stress than you need to.

How many doors could you manage and how much less stressed would you be if you stopped doing these things?

How to Manage Fewer Doors with More Stress

As a business owner, if you want to manage fewer doors with more stress, do the following:

  1. Don’t delegate effectively. Keep all your work on your plate and micromanage your team. Make sure they can’t make any decisions without you.
  2. Be afraid to hire because they won’t do it as well as you.
  3. Become a workaholic and never take a break. (No vacations for you!) Stay deep in the weeds in your business.
  4. Reinvent the wheel every time. Avoid standardizing tasks. Never do things the same way twice.
  5. Keep your work very manual. Make sure that every step needs human intervention. Avoid automating any work.
  6. Hand off tasks through Slack or email. Drop the info and pray someone will pick it up from there.
  7. Create a giant handbook that no one will read, no one will memorize, and no one has time to update.
  8. Don’t integrate any of your softwares with each other. Instead, be sure to enter your data manually over and over into each one.
  9. Stay reactive and don’t anticipate problems before they occur. Get really good at firefighting all the time.
  10. Say yes to every request your owners ask for. You work for them after all! Don’t create consistent company policies that you hold to but instead listen to the whims of your clients.
  11. Take on every property that comes your way. Don’t pick and choose and don’t focus on certain types of properties.
  12. Make sure to not provide any information to your owners or tenants proactively. Wait until they ask for it. Even better, wait until they’ve asked a couple times.
  13. Avoid tracking numbers at all costs. Make sure you haven’t created any goals and definitely don’t track how close you are to meeting them week over week, month over month, quarter over quarter, year over year.
  14. Don’t utilize remote team members.
  15. Keep all your client communications in separate team member’s inboxes and make sure no one has access to all the communications in one place.
  16. Keep track of your leads in your head, in your email inbox, or on paper. Definitely don’t put them into a CRM.
  17. Follow up with your leads as you remember to and avoid building out automatic email campaigns to nurture them.
  18. Don’t address any of these things because you don’t have the time.

There's a lot more that could be added to that list!

Where do you fall on the list? Of course, the list is intentionally exaggerated. However, even while you may not intentionally be doing any of these, you are likely tolerating many of them, perhaps due to time constraints or simply not realizing there's a better way.

What if you made a change? How many more doors could you manage with the resources you have if you hired, trained, and delegated more effectively, standardized and automated more of your work, got out of the weeds of your business as the business owner, and gave your team the tools they need to be effective without you?

How many more doors could your team manage if they were given the tools to be efficient and cut out mundane and manual work, and given visibility into the impact of their day to day work? What would that do to your team culture and what you could achieve together?

Are you ready to manage more doors with less stress?

Ready to work ON your business and not just IN it?

What's the solution? Systems, systems, systems. Systems are the key. Systems that are right there at the core of your company, living and breathing with your company as it grows:

⚡️ Automated systems that cut out manual, repetitive tasks.

✅  Documented systems that ensure tasks are done the same way every time.

🤩  Experiential systems that manage client interactions and improve the customer experience.

📈  Growth, sales, and lead management systems that automate and increase your closing rate.

🔥  Onboarding systems that give your clients a "wow" experience in the first 120 days, reducing your churn rate.

🏡  Leasing systems that shorten vacancy times, cut down on applicant calls, and keep things from falling through the cracks.

💬  Communication systems that remove silos, give everyone visibility into client comms, and shorten response times.

🎉  Hiring and training systems that ensure your team gets up to speed quickly.

🚀  Systems that give you, as the business owner, visibility into what is happening in your company at any given time.

All of those systems need to live in one unified, integrated system management tool, built by property managers for property managers. That is exactly what LeadSimple Operations was built for.
